The web is the largest platform mankind has built. Today the majority of users access it from a mobile device – and let’s be honest: Often the ‘mobile web’ experience is anything but great. But Google and other browser vendors love the web and together they have built new web technologies to enable app-like experiences on the mobile web: They call them Progressive Web Apps (Wired Magazine, May 2016).

This talk will give you insights on what can be achieved with these new web standards and why companies like Facebook, AliExpress or Booking.com embrace them already. No technical expertise is required.
